Here are some pictures of my vegetarian pizza’s I’ve been making.  In the past when we would order pizza take out, I was always so picky and when my husband tried to do the ordering he would never get it right. He would accuse me of being too picky!

Well yeah of course I’m picky. That’s why I like to make my own food, plus I can make it better.  Haha!

So now he just sits back and I make it. I love watching him enjoy every bite!

I like to use canned organic tomato paste rather than sauce because it is a thicker consistency and they don’t add anything else. No salt or sugar.  That way you can season it to your liking!  I do have aspirations of making my own tomato paste one day with tomatoes I grow myself.  I will keep you posted on that goal!

Here is a picture of the pizza before it went into the oven.

Those little Sun Gold tomatoes I did grow! This pizza looks kind of rectangular as noted in my instructions regarding dough.

Veggie Pizza

  • Organic tomato paste
  • fresh garlic pressed
  • red or white onion sliced thinly
  • any color of bell pepper thinly sliced
  • Sliced zucchini rounds
  • Grape tomatoes halved or diced tomato
  • artichoke hearts in water quartered
  • kalamata olives or black olives
  • cheese

  1. Once I have my dough rolled out and ready for toppings, I start with one small can of organic tomato paste. I usually use almost the whole can but you can put as much as you like. When I first started making my own I used 1/2 to 3/4 of the can but found I like the tomato taste so started using the whole can.

Because the tomato paste is unseasoned I add some good sea salt and black pepper once spread on dough. Then I like to use fresh garlic pressed scattered around usually use at least 2 cloves maybe 3. Next I like to sprinkle with some dried basil that you rub with your fingers while sprinkling. I have also used fresh basil chopped up and sprinkled on.

Next thing I add is very thinly sliced onion red or white. Then I add very thinly sliced bell pepper. Any color will taste great. If you would like you can add fresh spinach on top before the cheese.

Next up is grated Organic Raw Mozzarella I sprinkle it lightly so you can still see some of the veggies showing through. Then I add thinly sliced Zucchini chopped artichoke hearts that are in water. I like kalamata olives sliced in half and tomatoes of any kind either sliced in half or diced.

Once you have all the toppings you like, add a little more of the grated cheese. Then I like to use finely grated Sheep Milk Romano or Parmesan cheese and if you like add crumbled goat or feta cheese.

You can also not use any cheese or a vegan cheese if you like.
